Research and professional interests:

• Benign hematology.
• Thrombosis and bleeding disorders.
• Myeloid stem cell disorders.
• Immunology and allogeneic stem cell transplantation.

How I fell in love with hematology:
Blood and its various elements (cellular/clotting) is one of the fascinating homeostatic systems in our body. I was very much influenced by my great teachers in hematology to decide to take it as a career. My mentor during training, Amit Verma, M.D., gave me a chance to learn more about the molecular aspects of science behind the hematopetic system. I am thankful to my parents and family who influenced and supported me in all dimensions.
