Spaces are still available for the UNMC Youth Learning Center’s “Prepared Kids: First Aid Training for Elementary School Children” on Saturday.
There will be two training times available: 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m.
The training, for youth in first through sixth-grade, includes information on minor wound care, severe bleeding, shock, splinting and other topics.
Training is free, but registration is required. Students are asked to bring several non-perishable food items with them to donate to children in need.
