Omaha Gives – to the SHARING Clinics

Omaha gave to the UNMC SHARING Clinics. The SHARING Clinics were among 570 nonprofits serving Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie counties that participated in the second annual Omaha Gives charitable challenge. Donors made gifts of $10 or more to support their favorite nonprofits. Every gift earned a percentage-based match from the Omaha Community Foundation. The SHARING Clinics received a total of $4,551 through 48 gifts, according to Patty Sherman, director of development for the clinics. The student-run SHARING Clinics assist those in need in our community by providing high-quality, low-cost health care and human services in Omaha at four locations. UNMC students in all health professions learn to work as a team and gain experience in patient interaction. "We are very grateful for the generosity of the 2014 Omaha Gives donors," Sherman said. "SHARING thanks its supporters for making a difference!"
