Marnie Imhoff

Each Thursday, we randomly feature a medical center employee. This week, we learn more about:

  • Name: Marnie Imhoff
  • Hometown: Bellevue
  • No. of years at UNMC: Seven

Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I currently work in the clinical laboratory science program (CLS) in the School of Allied Health Professions. I wear several hats in the program — associate program director, clinical education coordinator, and I teach clinical immunology to our CLS students. Also, I co-teach the infectious disease course for the High School Alliance.

“Leadership” is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed this commitment at UNMC.
I see it every day in the CLS faculty in their leadership and mentoring of our future laboratory professionals.

What is your favorite spring activity?
I like spending time outdoors – taking the dog for a walk, planting my garden and enjoying the nice weather (when it is not 80 degrees one day and snowing the next).

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I am named after the Alfred Hitchcock movie ” Marnie.”
  • I really, really do not like cantaloupe, so much so I can’t sit next to someone eating it.
  • I am an Air Force brat and grew up all over the United States.
