Tickets are still available for Sunday’s Munroe-Meyer Guild’s 46th Garden Walk. The annual walk, which is open to the public, is hosted by the Munroe-Meyer Guild, a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities through fundraising for UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute.

It features five fantastic midtown Omaha gardens. Individuals can stroll through backyards to view unique and creative displays in landscaping, plants, flowers and water features. Master gardeners also will be present at the gardens. Vendors will be located at the Joslyn Castle gardens.

New to this year’s event, the Joslyn Castle public gardens and tours of the museum are included with the purchase of a Garden Walk ticket.

“All of the homes are in Midtown and have historical backgrounds just like Joslyn,” said Kim Bainbridge, MMI Guild member. “These private gardens showcase what can be done with small, intimate backyards while still retaining the historical significance of the home and neighborhood.”

When: Sunday, June 8, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., rain or shine.
