UNMC supporter Virginia Grissom to be honored

Virginia Grissom

A celebration will be held for longtime UNMC supporter Virginia Grissom in honor of her 95th birthday.

The UNMC community is invited to this event, which will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. July 16 at EngAge Wellness in the Home Instead Center for Successful Aging at 730 S. 38th Ave. on the UNMC campus. Parking is available in the adjacent lots.

Grissom’s husband was the late Robert Grissom, M.D., UNMC’s first chairman of internal medicine.

She has been a longtime UNMC supporter and volunteer, serving as one of UNMC’s first docents.

RSVPs are requested by July 14 to Jenni Koll at 402-502-4915.
