Employees interested in parking in Lot 4, directly south of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education at the corner of 42nd and Emile Streets, are asked to put their names on the move list.
The 85-stall surface lot opened this spring as a long-term temporary parking lot. It replaced the long-standing parking structure that was closed in December 2012 and then razed after having surpassed its expected service life.
Tina Spencer, manager of UNMC Parking Services, said anyone interested in being reassigned to Lot 4 should put their name on the move/wait list, which can be found on eServ, formerly known as Employee Self Service or ESS.
Assignments will be based on parking rank and hire date.
The lot has two entrances, both on 41st Street, and two parking areas, which are connected by a “loop” that allows vehicles to access either section. (Note: It is still considered one lot, and no section designation will be included). The rate is $30 per month.
