With the school year about to get under way, many of the colleges and schools will be holding white coat and professionalism ceremonies.
The upcoming schedule of events for these ceremonies includes:
- Wednesday, Aug. 20: College of Pharmacy – 7 p.m., Truhlsen Events Center, UNMC campus.
- Wednesday, Aug. 20: Graduate Studies Matriculation Ceremony – 5:30 p.m., Durham Research Center Auditorium, UNMC
- Friday, Aug. 22: College of Medicine – 2 p.m., Joslyn Art Museum.
- Friday, Aug. 22: College of Dentistry – 3:30 p.m., UNL East Campus Union, Lincoln.
- Thursday, Aug. 28: College of Nursing Northern Division-Norfolk – 5 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 29: College of Nursing Lincoln campus – 2 p.m., UNL Student Union Ballroom, Lincoln.
- Friday, Aug. 29: College of Nursing Kearney campus – 3 p.m., Ponderosa Room, UNK, Kearney.
- Friday, Aug. 29: College of Nursing Omaha campus – 11:30 a.m., Truhlsen Events Center, UNMC campus.
- Saturday, Sept. 6 – School of Allied Health Professions Professionalism Ceremony, noon to 4 p.m.:
- 1 to 2 p.m., ceremonies for physician assistants (Truhlsen Events Center), clinical laboratory sciences (Sorrell Center, Room 2014), cytotechnology, clinical perfusion, medical nutrition (Sorrell Center, Room 3001) and radiation science technology (Sorrell Center, Room 3002).
- 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., ceremony for physical therapy, Truhlsen Events Center.
- 1:30 to 4 p.m., reception and self-guided tours.
- Friday, Sept. 12: College of Nursing West Nebraska Division-Scottsbluff – 4 p.m. MT, Scottsbluff.
