Gene Tompkins will retire on Sept. 2 after 28 years with UNMC.
Materials Management will host a reception on Thursday, Aug. 28 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Annex 22, 601 S. Saddle Creek Road. The event is open to the campus community.
Tompkins began his career at UNMC in 1987, working as a carpenter in facilities. In 2013, Tompkins became a supply control clerk in the Facilities Warehouse.
