UNMC for the record

The Norman Harris Prize for Excellence in Graduate Education in the Neurosciences was awarded last month to seven UNMC graduate students: Lu Yang, Kristi Anderson, Megan Bosch, Han Liu, Katherine Olson, Emily Harrison and Beth Heinrichs-Graham. Harris established the award in memory of his late wife Bernice, who suffered from Lewy body disease, a rare neurodegenerative disease. The award was decided by a committee which reviewed each application thoroughly and scored them based on relevance to neurodegenerative diseases and research progress. Pictured in the photo above are Howard Gendelman, M.D., professor and chair of pharmacology and experimental neuroscience department, and, from left to right Yang, Anderson, Bosch, Liu, Olson and Harrison. Beth Heinrichs-Graham is not pictured.
