What sparked your interest in medicine?

From a young age, I knew that I wanted to have a career where I had the opportunity to help people. During my undergraduate education, I spent three months working in a primary care clinic in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. After this experience, I knew that a career in medicine, and specifically primary care, is what I wanted to pursue.

Your favorite study snack is:
Ice cream. But that’s my favorite snack in every situation.

Your favorite app is:
The UNMC app of course! That or Pandora.

Three things people may not know about you:

  • I have traveled to 12 different countries.
  • I used to play the saxophone. Let me know if you want to jam to Chameleon some time.
  • I have run two half marathons (poorly) and hope to train for a full marathon soon.
