The first drawing for UNMC United Way campaign participant prize winners was held Friday. The winners were:
- David Finken, Pediatrics: Husker tickets vs. Rutgers.
- Nicki O’Neil, Eppley Institute: $100 Visa cash card.
Another prize drawing featuring Husker tickets and a $100 Visa Cash Card will be held Friday for those donating a minimum of $20.
This Friday, Sept. 26, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., employees of UNMC who donate a minimum of $5 to the United Way are invited to a free ice cream social event in the Sorrell Center, second floor commons. To receive free ice cream, employees must show a printout receipt of their United Way pledge.
As of 3 p.m. Friday, there was $96,188.64 raised toward the $150,000 goal, with employee participation of 25 percent.
All participants in the United Way campaign are eligible for prizes during the final week’s drawing. Remember, you do not have to make a donation in order to participate! Logging in to eServe and choosing not to make a donation also will ensure your entry in the final week’s prize drawing which will take place on Oct. 3.
Everyone who participates before 4 p.m. Sept. 26 will be eligible for the next drawing.
