United Way, Day 18: One down, one to go!

With two days remaining in the 2014 United Way of the Midlands drive, UNMC has reached its donation goal of $150,000.

The participation goal of 50 percent is also within reach as the 2014 campaign nears its finish line!

Entering Day 18 of UNMC’s United Way campaign, here’s how the participation levels stack up by college or unit, with the School of Allied Health Professions at 100 percent and three other divisions at or above 80 percent:

  • School of Allied Health Professions: 100 percent
  • Chancellor’s Unit: 86 percent
  • Human Resources: 81 percent
  • College of Public Health: 80 percent
  • Business and Finance: 67 percent
  • Eppley Institute: 65 percent
  • College of Nursing: 64 percent
  • Research: 63 percent
  • ITS: 60 percent
  • Student and Academic Affairs: 57 percent
  • College of Pharmacy: 57 percent
  • Facilities Management and Planning: 51 percent
  • Munroe-Meyer Institute: 49 percent
  • College of Medicine: 34 percent


The running total

As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, UNMC achieved:

  • Donations of $160,168 — this total is 6 percent above the campaign goal of $150,000.
  • Employee participation of 46 percent. This year’s employee participation goal is 50 percent. Remember, using the UNMC eServ website to choose not to donate counts as participation, and all participants will be entered in the final drawing on Oct. 3! We’ve hit the donation mark — help us reach the participation goal by signing in today, even if you choose not to donate!
