What sparked your interest in public health?

When I was in undergrad I was actually pre-medicine and I wanted to work with international populations and improve health in developing countries. But my advisor convinced me that what I wanted to do could actually be accomplished a lot better through public health. So I attended an open house at UNMC College of Public Health, and here I am!
