Science fans and professionals can share their love of science by participating in the third annual Nebraska Science Festival, which runs April 10-18 in Omaha and surrounding cities.
Those interested should submit applications to:
- Present hands-on, kid-friendly science booths at one of the free Science Expos. The expos will be April 16 and 17 at The Durham Museum in Omaha and the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland, Neb., for registered school groups. A public expo is scheduled for April 18 at The Durham Museum.
- Host a science-related event during the festival week. Free community events are encouraged and should be accessible to the general public.

To be considered for the Science Expos and included in printed materials, applications should be submitted online at nescifest.com by Feb. 1. Community sites that want to host an event also should submit an application online here. Applications are subject to approval by the festival advisory committee.
Presented by UNMC, the Nebraska Science Festival is a growing collaboration interested in the advancement of science literacy. The Science Festival is designed to make science accessible, interactive, relevant and fun for kids and adults alike.
