MMI-Rose Theater collaboration finalist for award

We need your vote!

The Munroe-Meyer Institute and the Rose Theater are finalists in an online voting contest that could net $1,000 to help support MMI programming.

The MMI-Rose collaboration is one of five finalists for this year’s Playbill Community Service Award, which celebrates young performers from across the country who are giving back to their communities.

For the project being considered, members of The Rose Theater Brigade conducted a free musical theater class for students at MMI, working together on scenes from Disney’s “Aladdin.” The Rose Theater Brigade is a select group of musical theater performers ages 13 to 18 who perform on The Rose Theater’s main stage before select performances and travel to local and regional competitions.

Watch the MMI video and vote here. You can vote once a day from your home or work computer.

Voting for the award, which will be presented during the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, over Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, closes at 11:59 p.m. Friday.
