What sparked your interest in medicine?
“When I was younger, I always had a passion for helping others. The exhilarating feeling of doing something for someone else is unlike any other feeling out there. I knew I wanted to get into medicine when I realized that my strengths in the sciences and my curiosity as to how humans work and function could be very well utilized in my desire to do good toward others. I am excited to continue my passion and dream as I work toward becoming a physician.”

Three things people may not know about you.
- I am quite color blind (which can make aspects of medical school very difficult).
- I have been known, on occasion, to eat entire heads of iceberg lettuce (the best type of lettuce).
- I was adopted when I was a baby by the best parents a kid could ask for.
Tyler is a student who goes above and beyond. He is one or the UNMC E-Learning Student Program award winners working with a team of M1 students on the "Day in the Life of a Breast Cancer Patient".
