Timothy Knudsen is a new faculty member at UNMC. Here’s a brief rundown of his background and the expertise he brings to campus.

  • Name: Timothy Knudsen (Tim)
  • Hometown: Omaha, Omaha! My mom and dad graduated from South High in the 1950s!
  • New title and UNMC department: Assistant professor, ENT (otolaryngology – head & neck surgery)

Research and Professional interests:
Open to all research opportunities as a general otolaryngologist.

How I fell in love with being an educator:
(And how I started loving the bomb — “Dr. Strangelove.” All of the old guys will get this.) But seriously, I have been in private practice for almost 20 years, and I am excited about bringing my experience and love for my specialty to the ENT department and its top-notch residents.

  • I am a runner and I’ve run seven or eight half marathons, not yet trained for a full!
