Do you know TED?

TED (for Technology, Entertainment and Design), is a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks.

This Friday, the College of Public Health is hosting a panel discussion on “The TED Experience,” featuring pediatrician Laura Jana, M.D. (TEDxOmaha 2014 speaker), and TEDxOmaha curator Brian Smith, who attends TEDActive. The discussion will focus on what they get out of the events, why they go, and what the TED connection does for Omaha.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. at Maurer Center for Public Health, Room 3013. Athena Ramos, program coordinator at the college’s Center for Reducing Health Disparities, will moderate the discussion.

This special event is free to attend but requires registration. Attendance is limited to 80 people. Parking is free. To register, click here.
