If you use Lotus Notes to send e-mail messages to The Nebraska Medical Center hospital or clinics, ITS says be aware of the following:
- Beginning July 27, the Clarkson e-mail address will change to The Nebraska Medical Center and replies to old messages with the Clarkson address will be undeliverable, requiring you to use the new address.
- Personal address book groups will need to be updated with the new address, beginning July 27 (see instructions below). Timing is crucial so don’t update too soon.
New Memos
When sending messages to anyone from The Nebraska Medical Center hospital or clinics, you may continue to use the hospital address book. All staff will automatically be updated in the public address book.
Replies
When this change is implemented the morning of July 27, a reply to a message prior to July 27 with the old address will NOT work. You will receive an undeliverable message. You will then need to select the name of the sender from the hospital address book.
Update your Personal Groups
All personal address groups and contacts containing the old Clarkson addresses will need to be updated to reflect the new address. A quick way to replace each Clarkson address in your groups in Lotus Notes is to edit each personal group and use the Edit > Find/Replace feature, using the following text for the Find and Replace fields, and click Replace All. This will need to be updated for all personal address groups, which contains the old Clarkson address.
TIMING IS IMPORTANT: If these changes are made prior to the change on July 27, messages sent prior to July 27 with the new address will not be deliverable.
UNMC Public Groups
Public Groups containing hospital addresses will be updated by ITS the morning of July 27.
Contacts in your Personal Address Book
If you have added individual contacts with the old Clarkson address in your personal address book, these addresses also will need to be updated. Unfortunately, the find/replace option will not work for your list of contacts, although you can use the Edit > Find to locate any addresses with CLARKSON/Clarkson Regional Health Services in the address and manually replace it with The Nebraska Medical Center.
