Wellness: Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society (ACS) defines Relay For Life as the world’s largest support group for survivors and their caregivers.

Fundraising, fun and recognition are part of more than 5,200 Relay For Life events every year. On June 27, supporters of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center will participate in the Douglas County event.

Employees, students, faculty and their families are invited to join the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center team for free by signing up on the Relay For Life website.

Elkhorn South High School will host the Relay For Life of Douglas County with family-friendly activities and food vendors starting at 3 p.m. During the opening ceremony, a special lap around the high school track will be held to celebrate cancer survivors, followed by a lap in honor of caregivers.

For a breakdown of hourly activities, please reference this survivors and caregivers flyer.

Don’t miss your chance to celebrate cancer survivors’ strength and the commitment of their providers, families and friends to improve their quality of life.
