Med Center invited to Joslyn exhibit preview

Joslyn Art Museum will hold a members preview of “Art Seen,” a juried exhibition of artists from Omaha to Lincoln, at 6 p.m. Friday, June 19. UNMC faculty, staff and students and Nebraska Medicine staff are invited to attend the event.

Karin Campbell, the museum’s Phil Willson Curator of Contemporary Art, and Bill Arning, director of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, will give an overview of the show moderated by Jack Becker, Joslyn’s executive director and CEO.

The overview will be followed from 6:30 to 8 p.m. by an exhibition viewing, with complimentary light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, in the Pavillion Galleries and Storz Fountain Court.

RSVP by June 15 by email or by calling (402) 661-3850. Please bring your UNMC ID card for admission to the event.

In addition, Saturday, June 20, will be a members preview day, in which “Art Seen” may be viewed by members. Present your UNMC ID card at the admissions desk to see the show. Curator gallery talks will be offered at noon and 2 p.m. by Campbell.

The event is part of the Passport Partners program, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
