Changes coming to Thank ‘U’ program

Get ready for the new and improved UNMC Thank ‘U’ program, coming this fall.

The Thank ‘U’ program is about to get a new facelift. The program will become more automated, increasing efficiency and reducing the amount of paper used. Employees will have the opportunity to send electronic Thank ‘U’ messages to other UNMC employees with a token value that can be redeemed.

To prepare for the transition to the new program, the current Vital Thank ‘U’ program will phase out next month. Medallions from the current program will not transfer over to the new program. However, employees will be able to redeem current medallions through the end of July.

Employees wishing to send a Vital Thank ‘U’ can do so through eServ up until June 19. Employees will be able to redeem their paper or metal medallions until July 31. After July 31, medallions that have not been redeemed will not carry over into the new program. Employees are encouraged to redeem their medallions (maximum 10) before the deadline.

Stay tuned for more information on the updated Thank ‘U’ program that will be announced in the Today later this summer. If you have any questions, please email Employee Relations.

Unfortunate the current medallions won't carry over or the annual redemption limit increased, especially if you have more than ten on hand.

  2. Fran Higgins says:

I agree with Dave. I've used 10 for the year and still have a few on hand. Oh, well — looking forward to seeing what's coming!
