An “Art Talk & Brown Bag Lunch” presentation featuring Omaha and Lincoln artists will be held at noon on June 30 in the College of Nursing Room 2018.

The presentation, “Art Seen: A Juried Exhibition of Artists from Omaha to Lincoln,” will be on view at Joslyn Art Museum from June 21 to Oct. 11.

“Art Seen” showcases 37 artists who live and work in in Nebraska’s two largest cities. Selected by Karin Campbell, Joslyn’s Phil Willson Curator of Contemporary Art, and Bill Arning, director of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, from a pool of more than 200 submissions, the featured artists represent a broad cross-section of the Omaha and Lincoln artist communities.

Highlighting a range of media — including painting, sculpture, photography, video, ceramic, textile, and printmaking — the exhibition explores the myriad ways in which artists are responding to issues of personal, local, and global relevance.

Join Campbell for an illustrated overview of the exhibition.

The presentation is part of the Passport Partners program, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
