UNMC, College of St. Mary nursing students inducted into nursing honor society

More than 130 undergraduate and graduate nursing students at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing and the College of St. Mary have been selected for induction this year into the Gamma Pi At-Large Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Nursing Honor Society.

The Gamma Pi At-Large Chapter includes six campuses — the College of St. Mary in Omaha and five UNMC College of Nursing divisions in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney, Scottsbluff and Norfolk.

Members demonstrate high standards of scholarship and leadership, and practice in a variety of health care settings, as well as serving as educators, researchers, policymakers and entrepreneurs.

STTI supports the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurse leaders and scholars committed to making a difference in health worldwide. Founded in 1922, it is the only nursing honor society. STTI is a global community of nurse leaders and scholars with 490 chapters in 85 countries around the world.
