Portion of 41st Street to close next week

The closure will not affect parking in Lots 4 and 36.

Beginning Saturday and running through Aug. 23, a portion of 41st Street will be closed between Leavenworth and Emile Streets.

The sidewalk on the west side of 41st street in between the street barricades will also be closed to the public for safety.

The closure is needed in order to install the architectural precast panels on the west side of the new Lauritzen Outpatient Center. Access to Lot 4 and Lot 36 will not be affected. The only change is that 41st Street will not be a through street during the closure.

There will be signs guiding traffic at the 42nd and Emile intersection and also guiding traffic entering on to 41st from Leavenworth.
