How I fell in love with child psychology:
I took a psychology class in high school, and I was immediately hooked. In my early years of college, I participated in several service-learning experiences working with young children with developmental and social-behavioral needs. It was then that I learned the important benefits of early education and intervention and from that time forward, I focused my clinical and research efforts in the field of early childhood.

  • Ph.D. in psychology, University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Memberships:

  • American Psychological Association, Division 16 (School Psychology)

Three things people may not know about me:

  • I have a loving husband, Mike Wisnieski from Dodge, Neb., and two wonderful children, Madisyn (7 years old) and Ethyn (4 years old).
  • I enjoy running and snowboarding.
  • I currently have a blue belt in taekwondo.
