For the second straight year, UNMC is holding a massive open online course (MOOC) on health literacy and communication for health professionals.
The free, eight-week course is being offered on Coursera and provides health professionals the tools they need to improve their health literacy and communication skills.
The course begins Sept. 13 and runs through Nov. 7. It will involve between three to six hours per week.
Denise Britigan, Ph.D., and Analisa McMillan, both with the UNMC College of Public Health, will once again be instructors of the MOOC. Last year’s MOOC garnered 10,148 participants, representing more than 70 health professions and more than 170 countries.
Continuing education units are available when completing the verified certificate. Additional fees may apply.
