How I fell in love with health sciences librarianship:
I am passionate about health professionals and patients using evidence-based health information to support decision making and healthy lifestyle choices. As a librarian, I have the opportunity to be involved in facilitating the discovery and access to this information and can play a role in improving the quality of health care. I love that every day I can help make a difference in someone’s life.

Degrees:

  • B.A. Biblical Studies, Washington Bible College
  • M.S. Library and Information Science, The Catholic University of America

Three things people may not know about me:

  • I used to write and perform poetry and came very close to pursuing a MFA in creative writing instead of a library science degree.
  • I am a figure skater and have skated competitively as an adult with a synchronized skating team.
  • I am the oldest of 12 children.
