What sparked your interest in medicine?
My mom, aunt, and uncle are actually all physicians (and graduates of UNMC), and as a kid I always loved hearing them talk about their careers. Once I started shadowing and taking science courses, I knew I had made the right choice.

Your favorite study snack is:
Chocolate covered espresso beans.

Your favorite app is:
Instagram.

Three things people may not know about you.

  • I lived in Cyprus for the summer between my sophomore and junior years of college.
  • I’ve driven across the country four times on my way to and from L.A. — where I attended college — and my hometown in Ohio.
  • I have a horrible sense of direction.
