UNMC app update features counseling info and more

An update to the UNMC app now is available in the Apple and Android app stores, and in the wake of Tuesday’s on-campus death of a Nebraska Medicine nurse at the Omaha campus, one new feature may be helpful for UNMC faculty, staff and students.

The latest update includes a new Counseling module that offers important crisis counseling and contact information. Crisis contacts also were added to the Health, Emergency and Help modules. (For more counseling information for all UNMC campuses, see sidebar.)

“We’re always trying to improve the UNMC mobile app,” said Todd Ashmore, web systems developer. “Make sure you download UNMC app updates whenever they are available so that you have the latest improvements and changes.”

A new social media icon includes links to all of UNMC’s primary social media accounts, as well as a link to the #iamunmc feed, where you can see photos tagged by students and staff members throughout the UNMC community.

The module formerly named Feedback has been changed to Ideas. It includes a form for submitting your innovative ideas to UNeMed. Also within the Feedback module is a form for submitting an idea to Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D.
