UNMC’s popular “Music as Medicine” series continues next week as the student choirs from Central High School perform at the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium from noon to 1 p.m. today.

The student choirs will include the Central High School Singers, Bel Canto and the Handbell Choir. Sara Cowan is the director of Bel Canto, and Lyn Bouma is the director of the Central High School Singers and the Handbell Choir. Stephen Bouma is the accompanist.

Musical selections will include “The Holly and the Ivy,” “Carol of the Bells,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and other selections.

Patients, staff, students and family members are invited to bring lunch and “let music be your medicine.”

The event is sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor.

I can hardly wait! So excited to see CHS here on Campus. Having experienced many years of attending CHS vocal music performances in the past, we are absolutely in for a blessing!
    Merry Christmas!
