Deck the halls but don’t ditch your diet.

That will be the subject of a live Twitter chat today featuring UNMC’s Ally Dering-Anderson, Pharm.D.

Dr. Dering-Anderson, clinical assistant professor in the UNMC College of Pharmacy, will be one of three panelists in a live Twitter chat about holiday eating hosted by the American Heart Association of Nebraska (@HeartNebraska) from noon to 1 p.m. today.

Join the conversation for healthy-eating tips and tricks that will help you stay on track during the holiday season. To participate and follow the discussion, use the hashtag #EatHealthyNE.

“Eating healthy can be a challenge during the holiday season,” said Abby Meyer, UNMC social media specialist. “This Twitter chat will offer great tips on eating healthy from experts like Dr. Dering-Anderson. Twitter is a wonderful resource for engaging discussions about topics of interest, between experts in the medical field and the public.”

Meyer encouraged members of the UNMC community to tune into the conversation and ask questions during the Twitter chat using #EatHealthyNE.
