The Chinese Cultural Fair will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Durham Research Center Commons.
Come welcome the Chinese New Year — the Year of the Monkey.
UNMC faculty, staff, and students can:
- taste food and tea;
- try to make dumplings;
- have their name written in Chinese;
- play games;
- taste food from various Chinese restaurants;
- learn about major cities in China and UNMC’s China collaborations;
- see performances (starting at 3:45 p.m.); and
- sign up for door prizes.
The first 200 participants will receive paper lanterns.
The event is coordinated by the Asia Pacific Rim Development Program, along with UNMC’s Chinese Scholarship Council students. It is co-sponsored by UNMC’s Asia Pacific Rim Development Program, UNMC HR-Employee Relations, Organizational Development & Diversity, and the Chinese Scholar and Student Association.
