Training available for voice recognition software

Provider training for Nebraska Medicine’s new Dragon Medical voice recognition software is still available. The software is for use only at Nebraska Medicine and UNMC Clinics in One Chart.

The software is designed to create a better provider experience with One Chart by speech-enabling the electronic medical record. It will allow for a natural, clinically-focused approach to capturing the complete patient story — improving quality care, physician satisfaction, financial integrity and compliance.

A broad rollout of Dragon Medical took place throughout Nebraska Medicine beginning in January. Provider training for physicians, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will run through March 15.

Providers at Nebraska Medicine and UNMC Clinics in One Chart with questions about the software can contact Cori McBride, M.D., or to get the voice recognition software and set up training, contact Robin Stoupa, project manager.
