The new Emile Street skywalk connecting the Durham Outpatient Center (DOC) with Lot 50 (employee and valet parking) will open next Monday, Feb. 29.
The new skywalk is part of the needed campus enhancements associated with the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, set to open in spring 2017. Along with the skywalk opening, Lot 2 (green patient/visitor parking) interior elevators and lobbies — previously under construction for improvements — also will open for patients, visitors and staff.
Ongoing structural, wayfinding and lighting enhancements for Lot 2 will continue through 2016.
