Members of the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine community will have the chance to learn about ” Go West! Art of the American Frontier from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West,” the latest exhibit at the Joslyn Art Museum, at a presentation at noon on March 8 in the Sorrell Center, Room 2018.
Few aspects of American history have had a more lasting impact than the exploration and settlement of the western frontier. “Go West!” considers evolving notions of the American West through 90 paintings, sculptures, and American Indian artifacts created between the 1830s and 1930s. Join Toby Jurovics, Joslyn’s chief curator and Holland Curator of American Western Art, for an illustrated overview of the exhibition and key works by featured artists.
