Library’s new app allows study room reservations

Starting Monday, study rooms at the McGoogan Library will be reserved exclusively through an online system called D!BS.

Instead of having to approach the AskUs Desk, UNMC and Nebraska Medicine patrons can simply access D!BS with a computer or mobile device and reserve a study room within seconds.

D!BS also allows patrons to reserve rooms that fit their exact needs, based on the size, duration, time of day and date that the room is needed.

D!BS will provide a list of available time slots. Patrons can pick the best time and select their favorite available room.

Study rooms can be reserved for one to four hours, with two reservations permitted per 24-hour period. Reservations can be made as early as two weeks in advance, but D!BS also provides the option to reserve a study room immediately by simply choosing “Now.”

While study rooms will no longer be locked, the windows are frosted to allow for extra privacy.

The D!BS study room reservation system will go live on March 28 through a link on the library website.
