On Tuesday, April 12, from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m., UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees are invited to a free screening of “TIG,” followed by a Q & A with director Kristina Goolsby.

The screening will be held in Room 2018 of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education. Employees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

After receiving a devastating diagnosis, comedian Tig Notaro put her life together on stage in a single legendary stand-up performance. This film provides an intimate, funny and illuminating look at one woman determined to find humor, life and love in the places we all fear the most.

This program is brought to campus by Film Streams at the Ruth Sokolof Theater in partnership with the Sundance Film Forward touring program, from the Sundance Institute. The program introduces a new generation of audiences to the power of story through the exhibition of film and conversations with filmmakers to create greater cultural awareness. Omaha was selected as one of four destinations for 2016. Other stops include Denver, Atlanta and London.
