The signs on the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center were lit Monday evening as Pamela Buffett flipped the switch.
The signage will remain lit throughout the remaining construction process.
Prior to the lighting ceremony, a reception was held in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.
Nebraska Medicine and UNMC conveyed continued thanks to Pamela Buffett for the generous donation, as well as all the other donors who are making the project a reality.
The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center will open in May 2017.
