Yiannis Chatzizisis, M.D., Ph.D., is a new faculty member in the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine, division of cardiology.

In UNMC, I direct the Cardiovascular Biology and Biomechanics Laboratory, a research venue where MDs, vascular biologists and biomedical engineers perform basic, translational and clinical research in native atherosclerosis, coronary and peripheral stents and vascular aneurysms.

I also serve as associate editor of “Atherosclerosis” and associate editor of “Pharmacology and Therapeutics”
