Employees honored at Service Awards Dinner

Three 45-year employees were among the 332 people recognized at this year’s Service Awards Dinner on June 22.

The 45-year employees were Beverly Hulsebusch, human resources administrative assistant in the College of Dentistry, Margaret Sieber, a dental assistant specialist in the College of Dentistry, and Gary Svanda, director of campus security.

The annual event recognizes retirees, service award recipients and Gold U honorees of the past year.

During the program, Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., thanked employees for the work they do each day to make UNMC a leader in transforming lives. He also thanked their supportive family members who also are part of the UNMC family.

Gold U honorees included:

  • Galen Kathol, College of Medicine
