Student Senate elections Nov. 9-10

UNMC students will be casting their ballot this week for Student Senate president, vice president and senators from the various colleges.

Elections will be Tuesday, Nov. 9 and Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. in Wittson Hall Lobby, near the 42nd Street entrance. The Faculty Women’s Club will staff the election booth again this year. Funds earned by the group go toward UNMC student scholarships.

Students will be electing a Student Senate president, who also serves as a non-voting member of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents; a vice president, and senators from the various colleges. A student ID or driver’s license is required to vote.

Students in contention for a senator position in the College of Pharmacy — students will vote for one:

  • Andrew Beckman (P1)

Students in contention for senator positions from the School of Allied Health Professions — students will vote for two:


  • Renee Dominy, physical therapy student
  • Jacqueline McBride-Rayno, physical therapy student

Students in contention for senator positions from College of Medicine — students will vote for six:
