The Race, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (R.I.D.E.) Initiative is convening a gathering on Sept. 1 for the official R.I.D.E. Report Release.

The R.I.D.E. Report is the collective efforts of more than 150 UNMC administrators, students, faculty, staff and community partners (key stakeholders), who convened and engaged in the interactive R.I.D.E Initiative process.

The R.I.D.E Initiative, created by Renaisa Anthony, M.D., deputy director of the Center for Reducing Health Disparities, was designed as the first, all-inclusive, campus-wide initiative dedicated specifically to better understand UNMC’s current R.I.D.E. campus climate, its ideal campus climate and salient solutions to achieve that ideal campus climate.

The R.I.D.E. Initiative participants concurred that the ideal UNMC campus climate is “diverse, inclusive and welcoming with equitable opportunities for all to thrive and succeed.”

All UNMC stakeholders are invited to the official R.I.D.E. Report Release. The event will be held on Sept. 1 from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Sorrell Center, second floor alumni commons area. Achieving the ideal campus climate takes all of us and together we are better! See you there, at the finish line!
