A memorial service will be held for Shelton Hendricks, Ph.D., at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 3114 Harney St. He died on Aug. 22 at the age of 75.
Dr. Hendricks was a professor of psychiatry at UNMC, and a former chair of the department of psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
“Shelton was a wonderful person,” said Chris Kratochvil, M.D., associate vice chancellor for clinical research. “He was an outstanding collaborator, incredibly bright, and we thoroughly enjoyed working with him during his time at UNMC.”
The family is requesting memorials be directed to the Shelton Hendricks Neuroscience Fund at the University of Nebraska Foundation.
