What sparked your interest in your chosen career path?
When I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with Perthes disease, which led me to have multiple surgeries at a young age. I was surrounded by numerous health professionals, but one nurse in particular stuck out to me the most. I truly believe that you can tell the difference between an individual who is working their job because it’s their passion versus a paycheck. I can truly thank “nurse Micki” for making that impact in my life, and for inspiring me to make that difference in the lives of others.

Three things people may not know about you.

  • I enjoy traveling, but I have a slight fear of airplanes. I am thankful for the friends that I have because they do their best to distract me during flights.
  • I love spending the summer time with my family and friends swimming, boating and fishing.
  • For as much as I try to be healthy, Chinese food is my weakness.
