Preparedness Fair today

Remember the earthquake last weekend? What if it had been a major one centered in the Omaha area? Would you be prepared?

To help you prepare for any disaster, attend today’s Preparedness Fair, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Truhlsen Events Center on the first floor of the Sorrell Center.

This fair kicks off several National Preparedness Month activities planned by the Center for Preparedness Education of the College of Public Health in partnership with the COPH Student Response Team.

Numerous vendors will be on hand to provide information and hands-on demonstrations. Vendors include:

Other activities include social media contests on Facebook (Center for Preparedness Education) and Twitter (@preped) as well as walk-arounds by the Preparedness Patrol throughout the month. Each week, information on various components of preparedness on our Facebook group will be featured.
