UNMC exceeds United Way goals

The UNMC community exceeded both of its goals for the 2016 United Way of the Midlands campaign, outdoing a fundraising goal of $160,000 by raising $176,974.57, while breaking the total campus participation goal — 50 percent — with a 54 percent participation rate.

The fundraising figure makes 2016 the third year in a row that UNMC notched its most successful campaign ever.

Not only did overall participation exceed the 50 percent goal, but three departments reached 100 percent participation including: Student Affairs, the College of Allied Health Professions, and the College of Public Health.

Final participation figures were:

  • Student Affairs: 100 percent
  • College of Allied Health Professions: 100 percent
  • College of Public Health: 100 percent
  • Chancellor’s Unit: 89 percent
  • Eppley Institute: 88 percent
