Susie Thorne kicks off new Music as Medicine season

UNMC’s popular “Music as Medicine” series begins again Oct. 20 with Susie Thorne and Friends performing at the Durham Outpatient Center’s West Atrium from noon to 1 p.m.

Thorne — a Hastings native — studied piano performance at the University of Colorado at Denver and vocal studies at the Academy of Vocal Arts.

Patients, staff, students and family members are invited to bring lunch and “let music be your medicine.”

Thorne’s performance is sponsored by UNMC’s Office of the Chancellor.
