Cyber security is everyone’s job

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. You may not realize it, but you are the best defense the organization has against cyber attackers. You are key in not only protecting our organization, but helping to identify and report suspicious activity.

Weekly for the remainder of the month, we will ask our readers to answer a couple of trivia questions regarding cyber security. See how well-versed you are.

In the past five years, the average data breach costs each hospital how much money?
A. $2.1 million
B. $687,000
C. $4.5 million
D. $1.2 million

Post your answers in the comments section; the correct answers will be posted in “UNMC for the Record” on Friday. One of the people giving both correct answers by 3 p.m. today will be selected at random to receive a plastic UNMC drinking glass with straw.
